Speak Island / 开口岛英语 is an offline-first English speaking practice app.

Data We Store On Device

The app stores learning progress on the user's device, including onboarding level, preferred app language, completed lessons, known words, practice progress, streak state, and local purchase entitlement state.

This data is used only to show progress, unlock content, and keep the learning flow consistent.

Audio And Microphone

The current app does not request microphone permission, does not record speech, and does not upload voice.

English pronunciation audio is bundled as local mp3 files in the app package. The app does not call cloud TTS for normal learning playback.

Purchases

When real App Store In-App Purchase is enabled, purchase processing is handled by Apple. The app stores local entitlement state so unlocked content can be shown after purchase or restore.

Local development purchase records are used only for simulator QA and are not a production payment channel.

Analytics And Network Use

The current release is designed as offline-first. No cloud learning content, cloud speech evaluation, or remote TTS is required for the learning path.

If analytics, backend sync, or remote services are added in a future release, this policy must be updated before release.

Children

The app is designed for general English learners and does not intentionally collect personal information from children.
